united Counseling Associates (UCA) protects all client information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, HIPAA requirements, and professional ethical standards.

Psychotherapy / Mental Health Services

Client communications and records are confidential and will not be disclosed without written authorization, except when disclosure is permitted or required by law, including:

• Suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect, or abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

• A serious and specific threat of harm to another person.

• A serious risk of suicide or self-harm requiring protective action.

• Other disclosures required or permitted by law or court order.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

ABA records and client information are confidential. Behavior analysts and RBTs must follow applicable BACB Ethics Code, privacy laws, and UCA policies. Information may be disclosed with appropriate authorization or when permitted or required by law, including for treatment coordination, protection from serious harm, mandatory abuse reporting, or legal requirements.

UCA will disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the authorized or required purpose.
